Osaro Obaseki maintains a broad practice advising employers on workplace law issues across multiple Canadian jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Ontario and British Columbia. He counsels provincially- and federally-regulated employers on a wide range of employment matters, including regulatory compliance, workplace policies, employment agreements, organizational restructuring, and mass terminations.
Osaro regularly represents employers in litigation and administrative proceedings. He has appeared before courts and tribunals in Ontario and British Columbia, as well as before the Canada Industrial Relations Board, Ontario Labour Relations Board, the British Columbia and Ontario Human Rights Tribunals, and WorkSafeBC. His experience includes wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints, employment standards disputes, and occupational health and safety matters.
In addition to his employment law work, Osaro assists unionized employers with labour relations issues, including certification drives, collective bargaining, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labour practice complaints. His growing labour practice also encompasses strategic advice on union avoidance and strike planning.
Before joining Littler, Osaro practiced at leading labour and employment firms in Toronto and Vancouver, where he managed complex litigation files and advised on workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, and severance agreements.
