Grace Waddell represents and advises California employers of all sizes in employment law matters in both state and federal court. She has extensive experience litigating cases, including those involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and trade secrets misappropriation. Grace additionally is involved with Littler’s Artificial Intelligence Practice Group, and routinely advises clients regarding AI, focusing on compliance requirements and smooth integration into the workplace in jurisdictions worldwide.
Grace has additionally served as a second-chair trial attorney, handled numerous administrative hearings, and argued motions under both state and federal law. Some of her recent victories on behalf of Littler’s clients include obtaining summary judgment in a FEHA wrongful termination action, in which the plaintiff was laid off as part of a company-wide reduction in force; and obtaining a preliminary injunction in a trade secrets misappropriation matter in the Northern District of California.
Prior to joining Littler, Grace practiced catastrophic personal injury and products liability law on behalf of plaintiffs. She now enjoys a unique perspective when handling complex litigation as a result of her experience of sitting at both counsels' tables throughout her career.
While in law school, Grace was a finalist in the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Mock Trial Competition and won second place in the Cipolla Closing Argument Competition, all in her first year. Grace was proud to serve as President of Pepperdine School of Law’s Humanist Legal Association, as well as Communications Chair for the Trial Advocacy Program. Grace was additionally a Dean’s Merit Scholar, and also obtained the Straus Institute Certificate for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
